The ELTC Spring quiz

On Saturday night, the brightest minds that ELTC has to offer came to a head (pardon the pun) in the quest to find the greatest quiz team.

While the rain poured down, bodies huddled in and into their teams for the first social event of the summer! ‘Summer’ used in the loosest sense, looking outside you wouldn’t have known it.

A big thank you for all who turned up and got involved!

We hope to see you all and more at our next quiz at the end of October.

Your calendar of events

What’s that?

You want one easy interactive calendar to show you all social events and matches coming up for the remainder of the year?

It’ll let you know who’s home, who’s away, and if there’ll be free courts for you to play on at the club?

You’re in luck! You can now find out every event on at the club including home and away fixtures on our interactive calendar of events here.

So if you’re thinking of heading up to the club for a knock and want to see if courts are free or want to know when the next social event is, just click on the calendar and scroll through the months to see what’s going on at ELTC.

Enjoy!

Let’s get quizzical!

The date is set. The 21st of April will be the Spring Enfield LTC quiz!

The quiz will be ran by our very own Trish Parker and there are still a few spaces available to get your team together and sign up in the clubhouse, or by contacting Trish, or leave a comment here!

Looking forward to seeing you all there! Let’s get behind our club!

2012-13 memberships for new and existing members

This Saturday is the deadline for reduced renewals for existing members. Get your renewal forms in to the club or membership secretary Karen Warnes to get your reduced fees.

Our new adult member offer of £99 is also still ongoing. Please visit our membership page for more information on this and what you can get for your money.

Look forward to seeing you at the club soon!

Junior Open Day – Saturday 31st March

Our annual open day for juniors is taking place this Saturday.

We’re welcoming all ages onto our courts from 2:30pm on Saturday to get a feel for the game if it’s their first time on a tennis court or looking to take their game to the next level.

All visitors will be able to take to the courts and have a knock, meet some of our existing members, take a look round the clubhouse and see what Enfield Lawn Tennis Club can offer.

There will also be refreshments available throughout the day!

Coach Neil Mansell will be on hand for all your questions and queries. But should you have anything you wish to ask in advance, you can contact Neil on 07940 477 021 or by emailing him at neilmansell@hotmail.co.uk. Alternatively you can email the club at enfieldlawntennisclub@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing you there!

ELTC Maintenance Day

On Saturday the 24th of March, Enfield Lawn Tennis Club had it’s annual Maintenance Day, readying the courts and surrounding areas for the new season.

It was good to see so many helpers down there and the improvements that were made look fantastic!

New shingle paths surrounding courts, brand new signs at the entrance, new court numbers, paint jobs and cleaning jobs were all apparent.

These photos were taken by our very own Steve Palmer.

This week at Enfield Lawn Tennis Club…

As well as the normal rota’s and social tennis sessions, this week also sees the Men’s II team take on Bounds Green in their Middlesex Winter League match.

A win would take them out of the bottom two and into safety in their division.

Check back on Wednesday for the result and the match report. Maybe with a picture or two!

On Saturday the 24th, we will be holding a ‘Maintenance Day’ in preparation for the new season.

It would great to see as many of you down there as possible doing whatever you can to make our club that little bit better in time for the summer.

It really is a case of the more the merrier and if last year is anything to go by, it doesn’t feel like a chore. After all, what you put in, you get back when using the club over the course of the year.

If it’s anything from making a cuppa for the team or giving somewhere a new paint job, we would appreciate your efforts and hope to see you there!

Look forward to seeing you around in the coming week.
