September saw us run a couple of new events.
Caroline and Jon celebrated their birthdays with a charity doubles fun tournament. Raising £1000 for Alzheimer’s. Thank you to everyone who attended.
We also ran our first Sunday Singles Speed event where 8 of us played each other. Everyone enjoyed playing singles and a repeat will be happening soon.

Earlier in the summer we held our annual finals days.
The Juniors day saw action on all 6 courts and excellent tennis played throughout. Many parents were there to watch and the BBQ and bar were busy all day.

Back in February we had our Tournament Prize Winners evening where Rick from our sponsors came and gave out the trophies and awards. Here are a few pictures of the winners receiving their trophies.
Last night we had a comedy show at the club where an ex professional umpire and linesperson came and shared some stories of her time. Pauline Eyre was here to test her material before taking it to Edinburgh and then out on a tour. It was great to see so many from the club involved and made a different night for the club. If you missed out, Pauline promised to come back with the polished show so maybe you can come make the next one.

With the cold and damp winter making tennis difficult it has been encouraging to see the courts in use so much.
The club’s AGM is happening on February 9th at 430. All members are welcome to come along see how the club is getting on and we have a fun tournament happening from 2.
The Padel application goes to the council next week for review.

On Sunday 19th October we held an adults and juniors mixed tournament and got 4 courts up and running. It was great to see some off our older juniors mixing in.
